The Joomla! Project released another security update to Joomla 1.5. On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, Joomla 1.5.13 became available for download.
The official announcement states that two medium and one low priority security fixes were made, along with 26 other bug fixes. However, FHB has read through the original Security Center postings, and one of them is marked as critical. It may be that the official announcement understates the importance of this update.
Both the Joomla! Project and F.H. Black & Company strongly recommend that all existing Joomla! users upgrade to this new version immediately. If your website is based on the 1.5 version of Joomla, the update path can be quick and painless as long as you have not customized the core files. For users of Joomla 1.0, the migration process is more involved.
