Nicolas graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2023, earning his degree while developing a strong foundation in accounting, assurance, and financial reporting. His professional journey began early through three summer work terms with BDO Canada LLP, where he gained hands-on experience working with clients across a variety of industries. These formative terms solidified his interest in public practice and paved the way for his full-time role with the firm following graduation.

During his two years at BDO, Nicolas specialized in audits, reviews, and compilations, contributing to engagements for both private enterprises and not-for-profit organizations. His work emphasized accuracy, client service, and a commitment to continuous learning—qualities he continues to bring to each new opportunity. Nicolas has also recently begun his CPA Professional Education Program, taking an important step toward achieving his designation and advancing his expertise in the profession.

Nicolas is enthusiastic about joining the F.H. Black team, where he looks forward to applying his technical skills, expanding his knowledge, and supporting clients as they navigate increasingly complex financial and reporting environments. He values collaboration and is excited to work alongside experienced colleagues dedicated to delivering high-quality service.

Outside the office, Nicolas enjoys exploring creative outlets such as drawing, as well as traveling, golfing, and spending time with his dog. These interests help him maintain balance and bring fresh perspectives to his professional work.
