Nicole Franco recently completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Manitoba, where she majored in Human Resources and Marketing. Throughout her academic journey, she developed a strong interest in organizational behavior, employee engagement, and workplace culture—interests that ultimately shaped her commitment to pursuing a career in human resources.

During her time at the Asper School of Business, Nicole gained meaningful hands-on experience in HR coordination, complementing her classroom learning with practical applications. Her involvement with the Commerce Students’ Association and various campus initiatives further strengthened her leadership abilities, communication skills, and understanding of the student and employee experience. These roles allowed her to collaborate with diverse teams, plan events, support operational processes, and contribute to a positive and inclusive community, all of which reinforced her passion for people-focused work.

Nicole is eager to bring her enthusiasm for team development, culture-building, and organizational support to her role as HR Associate at F.H. Black & Company. She looks forward to contributing to HR initiatives that enhance employee experiences, strengthen internal processes, and support the continued growth of the firm. With a strong foundation in both the strategic and interpersonal aspects of human resources, she is excited to learn from her colleagues and play an active role in fostering a supportive and high-performing workplace environment.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys experimenting with new matcha recipes, staying active through regular exercise, and spending quality time with friends. She values balance, creativity, and connection—qualities that she brings to both her personal and professional life.
