Estimate & Compliance Manager
F.H. Black & Company is partnering with a trusted Winnipeg-based emergency restoration company to find an experienced Estimate & Compliance Manager to lead their growing estimating department. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibility, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving continuous improvement across all estimation functions.
What You'll Do:
Lead and supervise a team of three estimators to meet insurance carrier requirements and profitability targets.
Conduct quality control reviews and implement robust measures for consistency and accuracy.
Monitor estimate timelines, job cycle times, and external scorecards to identify improvement opportunities.
Resolve estimate-related escalations and ensure specialized estimates (mold/asbestos remediation) meet all regulatory expectations.
Act as mentor and direct supervisor to the estimating team, ensuring high performance standards.
Develop and facilitate estimate training programs for Project Managers and team members.
Provide Xactimate (X1) and Symbility training to ensure team proficiency.
Generate and analyze reports on estimate trends, cycle times, and pricing models to support data-driven decisions.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years of restoration estimating and compliance experience.
Advanced proficiency in Xactimate (X1) and Symbility (Mobile Claims).
Deep understanding of asbestos and mold remediation estimating, including regulatory compliance.
Strong grasp of insurance industry standards and carrier estimating guidelines.
Proven leadership experience with ability to mentor and develop team members.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Experience with restoration software and reporting tools (XactAnalysis, Encircle, Dash, RMS) preferred.
IICRC Certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Fire/Smoke Restoration (FSRT) preferred.
