Territory Manager

Our client, a Western Canadian agency representing many of the world’s finest “blue chip” manufacturers, is currently seeking an experienced Territory Manager based in the greater Vancouver area. The Territory Manager will develop and service well-established accounts within the Industrial / Building Products Distribution channels, develop new business and explore growth opportunities within the region, with opportunity for future territory expansion. Our client has a reputation for honesty, integrity and innovation within the industry and is seeking a knowledgeable, client serviced focused representative with territory management experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

·       Comprehensive knowledge of industrial product lines

·       Service existing accounts in the territory as well as generating new business in all product lines

·       Achieve annual sales targets by product line

·    Develop strong relationships with clients, including end users, buyers, purchasing managers, safety officers, compliance officers

·       Undertake product training from Principles and develop knowledge of industry competitors

·       Participate in all company events including trade shows, online events, AGM and team building

·       Administrative duties and ongoing reporting

·       Actively dedicate time and commitment to product knowledge and self-study

·       Adhere to company guidelines and policies at all times

·       Be capable and comfortable with calling on the distribution channel at all levels with a thorough understanding of the Agency and the added value it provides

·       Travel by car within their designated territory– expected to perform duties with limited supervision

·       Travel across Canada for annual meetings and trade shows when required. Expected to be approximately once annually

Requirements & Competencies

·       Experienced in industrial sales

·       Previous experience successfully managing a geographic territory

·       Competitive – results oriented, driven

·       Good people skills

·       Able to work independently and self-motivated to achieve results/sales targets

·       Strong work-ethic

·       Acts with honesty, integrity and upholds the positive reputation of the Agency

·       Accountable

·       Client service and relationship development expertise

·       Valid driver’s license and vehicle are required
